How to use the Football Website

This website serves the purpose of given the Hebron Academy community an opportunity for more communication. As a football team we will be given the opportunity to react to what is going on in the present, evaluate what has happened in the past, and work for what we want in the future.

Each week we will invite those who are members of this site to make comments they feel are pertinent for the improvement of our team. The categories we would like to see people comment on are:

What lessons were learned this week in Hebron Academy Football?

Were there any plays or sets of plays in the game that made you feel good about the direction our team is headed?

Is there any one involved with our program you would like to thank from this week?

What general comments do you have about the week?

Note that we are not looking for negative comments. Because this site is viewable to the public, please keep your comments as positive as you can. Any negative information will be dealt with in private as a team.

This site can also be used to help our team get noticed and our individuals continue playing football after they leave Hebron Academy. The links to the right will help us do all of these things. As a team we will help you get your information on www.Berecruited.com, www.allstudentathletes.com, and www.maxpreps.com. You will be able to find out information about other teams that we will play using links like the Evergreen League website, and Maxpreps.com. Please see Coach Lovett if you have any questions about being able to post on this site or how to use the links to the right.

Recruitment

In the world of Prep School football recruitment is an important part of the game. Every school relies on the development of their younger student athletes as well as the addition of talented recruits to fill the whole in their roster. Hebron Academy is in the same position, especially this year. As you can see from the record posted below, our 2007 - 2008 season left us with some talented young athletes with some significant game time contribution. With training and guidance they will be taking our program back to its previous prestige. However, as a team we have some significant needs at key positions.

Our needs at present are:

Offensive Linemen
Defensive Linemen
Quarterback
Inside Linebackers
Outside Linebackers
Defensive Backs
Tight Ends

Though we would love to see more talent and depth at all of our positions, these are our greatest needs. If you feel like you would like to fill one of these positions or that you would like to help us out in other ways, please follow the following instructions.

1) Click our recruitment link to the right and fill it out so that we can send you more information about our school and we can find out more about you.

2) E-mail us at hebronacademyfootball@gmail.com or jlovett@hebronacademy.org and let us know that you are interested in playing football

3) Click on the Hebron Academy link to our home page and check out the school on-line.

4) Use the other links to find out more about us.

5) Schedule a school visit and be sure to meet with someone on our coaching staff. Recommendation from coaches and tape are welcome.

Please note that given the rule of the Evergreen Football League we are only allowed three post-graduate positions, so if this describes you, PLEASE ACT QUICKLY as our placement in limited. If you are an underclassmen, please be sure to get in contact with us as soon as possible so that we may be able to better help you financially.

We look forward to hearing from all qualified applicants as soon as possible.
